What to expect

Commodore is the kind of small Scottish guest house that Bute does well: clean rooms, friendly hosts, and a breakfast that sets you up for a day of walking, cycling or sightseeing. The atmosphere is personal rather than corporate, and the hosts usually know the island well enough to point you towards the best beaches, walks and events.

It is well suited to couples, solo travellers, and anyone who wants a simple, central base. As with all island accommodation, book early for summer weekends and event dates.
