The lodge is on Rothesay's Esplanade, facing the water. Cross the road and you are on the promenade; turn left and the ferry terminal, shops and restaurants are a few minutes on foot.
It is a good base for Mount Stuart, Ettrick Bay, Port Bannatyne and the southern villages, all reachable by bus or a short drive.
Traditional rooms with fireplaces, bay windows and pine beds — several look straight out across Rothesay Bay, so you wake to the water and the morning ferries.
