Govandale is in southern Bute, close to Kingarth and Kilchattan Bay. This is one of the island's more rural corners, with open views, lanes and the coast within easy reach.
Rothesay is about a 15-minute drive north, where you'll find supermarkets, restaurants, the ferry terminal and the main visitor services.
